Dear Richard:

 

It is extremely distressing to both receive and answer a letter like the one you wrote to all the Trustees on August 19, 1974 because it is such an obvious ploy, self-serving and a negative drain of valuable time of the people who are working to accomplish the building of Stelle at this time. Your vague statements, accusations by innuendo, and general hokum such as your statement that you came from Texas to Chicago “in response to what appears to be disturbing trends within the administration of both The Stelle Group and Stelle Industries, Inc. ,“ is ludicrous. The real reason for your return was the hope you could work your way back into Stelle when you realized that you were alone (by your own doing April 1, 1974), broke, without a job, and away from family and friends. And, the “disturbing trends” were recent admonishments to you from John Stone about the financial condition of Stelle Industries, Inc. prior to your departure April 1st of this year and do not relate to the present administration.

 

Your verbal statement that “the philosophy stated in The Ultimate Frontier is not your philosophy” and “that the book was dictated to you” leave grave doubt in our minds as to the positive contributions you can make at this time. Know that your attempts to subvert the philosophy and direction of Stelle will not be allowed. The “Observations” that you have been writing are little more than claptrap negative attempts to change the collective thinking of The Stelle Group towards mysticism, sexual promiscuity, and dangerous occult experimentation under the guise of some great knowledge you have discovered (drawn from reading Pyramid Power, The Once and Future King, The Morning of the Magicians, etc.). Poppycock! You may as well begin to accommodate the reality that one day when you return to Stelle you will abide by all the guidelines that the rest of us function within as stated in The Ultimate Frontier. You will not violate the sexual mores of the community without causing the expulsion of all involved accord­ing to the By-Laws. Your childish behavior and hypocritical games of the past will no longer be tolerated.

 

As for our grossly interfering in your environment and pressuring to abridge your Egoic growth and experimental proofs, you are a free agent and can exercise your free will in the whole of the world. Remember, you removed yourself from Stelle. In Stelle a person is expected to exercise his free will for “the greatest good of all concerned.”

 

You, sir, would bite the hand which would point the only positive and safe path it knew to help you in your struggle? I ask you whose foot wears the shoe of blatant arrogance”? Do not try to “divide and conquer” the Trustees by your intimidations; we all know “how to eat an elephant.”

 

In April when I asked you at Gail’s behest whether or not there was any money put away, you told me there were a couple of hundred dollars in bonds and $273. 96 in the checking account, and no more. The rest of the funds you had taken with you.

 

Now you say you left $4,500.00 in notes and bonds—bah humbug! Although Gail receives a salary, it is not at your direction and in no way alleviates your responsibility as a husband and father for the legal and KARMIC financial support of Gail and Dawn. Don’t you think that you’ve gotten all the mileage out of the chiding statements on author’s royalties that is reasonable? Please stop whipping a dead horse.

 

There never was an arrangement between us that you would call me every week or two to discuss problems relating to Stelle Industries, Inc., and you knew damn well that Bob Jensen and John Stone had left Stelle Industries, Inc. because I gave you both verbal data and written documents which made it quite clear. I believe you are dealing in fantasy. Furthermore, Gail and I were not announced as, nor are we at this time, the Voting Trustees. More poppycock!

 

 

REALITIES

 

You have told Tom Valentine that you cannot communicate with me (Jim Howery) because all I do is listen with my arms crossed. Know that as long as you attempt the silly, childish, psychological games of attempting to bring out guilt feelings from old tapes through admonitions and chiding, communications are broken between us. Further, anytime you practice character assassination of Stelle Group members, the Board of Directors of Stelle Industries, or the Trustees, communications are broken between us. And last, anytime you practice deceit, or try to perpetrate false or negative doctrines, communications between us will close. This is why I have grown quiet and crossed my arms in our recent conversations. By the way, did you also tell Tom that I asked you the following questions and you did not answer?

 

“Did you ever publish anything that you did not understand or believe?“ “Did you ever assume responsibility for anything you did not feel was right?”

“Is the goal of Stelle to develop people of quality or quantity ?“

 

 

 


“Now, in the light of spirit law, deceit in any form is nothing but a lie.”

“A man may lie by look or act; yea, even by his silence may

deceive, and thus be guilty in the eyes of Holy Breath.”

 

 

 


Your subtle attempts to ascertain if any of the Trustees have had “contact” with the Brotherhoods make it clear that you have not.

 

 

 


Your reason for being in The Stelle Group office the other morning (“had not been to a bathroom for two days”) was not accepted by the three people in whom you tried to plant belief. You were observed rifling the files, something, by the way, which is highly illegal since you have no legal right to any of The Stelle Group files.

 

 

 


The indebtedness in which you left Stelle Industries, Inc. when you departed on April 1, 1974, was “criminal.” Your misadministration had Stelle Industries, Inc. on the verge of bankruptcy. This was barely staved off through the tre­mendous efforts of Stelle Industries, Inc. personnel and many important personnel changes.

 

 

 


If you force the Trustees to choose between keeping the door open for your return at some future date and doing what we believe is for the greatest good of all con­cerned, particularly what is best for The Stelle Group, you will be playing into the hands of those nefarious entities who desire to destroy the Great Plan.

 

 

 

 


Richard, this is the end of the pseudo chess match, great debate, or whatever your game is. The only communications which will receive answers from this point in time must be written direct to Jim Howery, and meaningful to Stelle. This is not an amendment to our prior letters regarding contact with your family. However, the Trustees will not deal through Tom Valentine and this is the last communication which will pass through him. Hereafter we will mail written communications direct to you or not at all.

 

 

 

 


The Stelle Group will function in accord with the written word of The Ultimate Frontier. Would you have us do less?
