1986 Annual Report to Contributors to The Stelle Group Statement on Purpose: There is a Master
Plan to create a civilization that encourages soul growth, is
governed by people in accordance with God’s Law, and is worthy to be
called the Nation of God. The Nation of God—a nation whose Citizens understand and live in accordance with God’s Law Since
The Stelle Group’s founding in 1963, its purpose has
been to help make that vision a practical reality. We believe that God’s Work
is people helping people realize the spiritual splendor and greatness which God has lovingly intended for each of us. Love finds its highest expression in a sincere concern for the spiritual growth of oneself and others. The
Stelle Group’s mission is forwarded through four principal programs: I. Spiritual
enrichment II. Educational
facilities III. Development
of the community of Stelle IV. Research
and development I. SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT and adult education
programs are offered to help individuals apply the
timeless philosophy of Christ and the Brotherhood of Saints, which emphasizes
character refinement and psychological development as keys to heightened
spiritual awareness. Spiritual enrichment programs sponsored by The Stelle
Group in 1986 include: *
National Advertising and Free Book to share the philosophy
in The Ultimate Frontier with more
people *
Publication of two new books: Spiritual Seekers’ Guidebook and Earth Shift *
Development of The
Right Start home study program *
Lemurian Philosophy Seminars in Stelle, Dallas, and other
major cities *
The Challenge of Loving and The Scientist-Philosopher
conferences *
Monthly seminars in Dallas on topics related to spiritual
growth and psychological development *
The Stelle Group
Letter,
which is shared with over 7,300 people worldwide *
Publication of The
Affiliate Newsletter for Affiliates *
The Office of Correspondence, which handled
over 4,100 inquiries in 1986. Spiritual growth is the wellspring of our joy. * * * II. EDUCATIONAL
FACILITIES
and a balanced academic curriculum based upon the philosophy are offered to children of interested parents. The school
actively seeks to foster a close relationship between the school, parent, and
child to form what has been called, “the
developmental partnership.” We’ve
helped educate children in 1986 with: *
The Stelle Learning Center in Stelle *
A new summer program called “Learning to Love Learning” *
Motherschool in Stelle *
Development of a Motherschool
correspondence course *
The Stelle School in Dallas *
Creation of a new “home-school” program whereby the school
aids the parent interested in teaching her child at home *
Completion of a series of workshops called “The
Developmental Partnership.” The
Stelle School in Stelle was one of eight private schools in the nation to win
an award for excellence from the Alliance For Invitational Education. The
school was recognized as “exemplary!” The children are the future. * * * III. THE COMMUNITY OF
STELLE
is dedicated to spiritual and psychological growth. We believe that the
effectiveness of any community is determined by the
extent to which it encourages the growth of its inhabitants. While the community of Stelle is sponsored and being developed by
The Stelle Group, it is not necessary to be a participant of The Stelle Group
to live in the community. The
Stelle Group has a major investment in the growth of the community of Stelle,
and there will be additional costs associated with completing the land
improvements for Phase One. Money raised from the sale of lots will be used to pay for the improvements. Donated funds are not used to build the community of Stelle. The one true test of a community is the degree to which it supports the growth of its citizens. * * * IV. SELF-RELIANCE
THROUGH TECHNOLOGY
is the overall direction of The Stelle Group’s research and development program,
which is overseen by the Office of Technology in
Stelle. Specific interest areas are research on renewable and more efficient
energy sources as well as research into Earth changes. Technology
projects undertaken by the Office of Technology in 1986 include: *
Evaluation of the greenhouse’s ability to retain heat *
Presentation on The Stelle Group’s greenhouse before the
annual meeting of the National Greenhouse Manufacturers Association *
Submission of proposal to the Illinois Department of
Energy arid Natural Resources to design and build a solar-powered,
photovoltaic, emergency, home-power system * Developing the program
and presentation given at The Scientist-Philosopher Conference in Stelle last
fall. Research
and development are generally funded through State
and Federal grants. Occasionally corporations donate their expertise or
products to a given project. The Stelle Group does not usually use donations
to fund technology projects except for the allocation of some paid staff
time. The focus of our research and development is finding ways to enhance self-reliance. * * * Funding the programs of The Stelle Group The
majority of The Stelle Group’s funding (57%) comes from individual
contributors, The Stelle Group does not receive operating funds from any
governmental agency, corporation , or foundation. The
Stelle Group is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service
as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS Code.
Donations to The Stelle Group can be taken as tax
deductions.
