Dear Friends,

Although I’ve been assimilating the Philosophy of the Brotherhoods as given in The Ultimate Frontier for over 15 years, and have been a Stelle Group member for 10 years, it is only within the past year that I have become aware of vitally important facts that are affecting our part of the Brotherhoods’ and Christ’s Great Plan. In the past 10 months I have learned:

-       That our Trustees have not been seriously interested in locating at Adelphi.

-       That some leaders have been instrumental in introducing changes in The Stelle Group By-Laws which have deprived us of the democratic process in the guise of bringing the group more into line with the Brotherhoods’ organizational structure and chain of command.

-       That a plan has been implemented to strip The Stelle Group’s admissions requirements of the stringency which we laboriously built in to protect our freedom from being undermined by less qualified and less responsible individuals. Such loose policies have taken over all the mundane schools of the Brotherhoods to their detriment.

-       That in 1984 Richard Kieninger wrote of and warned of the misuse of politics in our groups for gaining personal power, and that this warning was included in The Adelphi Organization’s membership manual at that time and has come to pass this year.

-       That an official position” of The Stelle Group is nonexistent, that everyone in positions of “leadership” has different views which are usually contradictory.

-       That there is scandalous deceit in our midst, which has its national counterpart, ‘~ providing a learning experience for us.

-       That Stelle Group people have been perceived as courageous and perceptive, but some are apathetic and ruled by their less noble needs to preserve what seems social] club which has lost its philosophical integrity.

-       That the national propensity to choose leaders who want to do our thinking for us is common even among spiritual seekers.

-       That people denigrate and misunderstand genius because of their own lack of self esteem, that they find it impossible to accept their own divinity, much less the human qualities of their leaders and are incapable of loving their leaders or themselves.

-       That Stelle and Adelphi have remained small in numbers because a great pruning process has been occurring for years.

-       That people in positions of responsibility in our part of the Great Plan are under extreme pressures, so that many eventually succumb to these pressures in a way that expresses destructively.

-       That the self-esteem of women in our culture is in serious question; and this is a warning and great lesson to us (per Chapter 16, TUF).

-       And last and most important, that my greatest task in this life is to learn to respect and utterly acknowledge my innermost subtle observations; to see, despite outward appearances, my inner reality; and to give my internal feelings as much respect and honor such as we are learning to allow to the little children with whom we work; my quietist observations are humble, innocent and pure, but they tend to be drowned out in the din of what is around us and largely accepted by our culture.

I here share my dissenting view with you because my 10 years as a Stelle Group member have strengthened and nurtured me. In the days ahead I may be silenced from sharing my truth. If that happens, I am honored to have fulfilled a valuable task, although I grieve for some of my old friendships. But the newer deeper bonds of respect that I have recently forced with like minds brings me renewed happiness. Cleverness has had its day in The Stelle Group, but truth will surely triumph. In the meantime, our organizations seem devitalized and confused, yet the great essence of what Stelle has been becoming for 23 years can still become viable again even though we few have been silenced for a time.
