October 4, 1974 Mr. Richard G. Kieninger Dear Friend: As you have so aptly stated
many times in the past, “We are today the product of our thoughts and actions
of yesterday.” It is extremely unfortunate that your manifestations of today
are incongruous with the Stelle community and indeed detrimental to its
integrity. The aforementioned conclusions have been drawn after much personal
deliberation, discussions with the Board of Trustees, review of statements
you have made to certain Stelle Group members, and the all-night meeting of
September 28-29 with the 12 representatives of the membership and the
Trustees. I most sincerely trust that
you will find your Arcadia which will allow you to sort out your realities
and come to terms with yourself. Again I find myself in the unenviable
position of making directives on your person; understand if you can that I
must follow those dictates of my conscience which tell me “this is for the
greatest good.?? The following directives
are hereby invoked, effective October 4, 1974, so long as they be for the
greatest good of all concerned: 1.
The May 17,
1974 directive shall remain in effect with the sole exception that Tom
Valentine shall be eliminated as a contact point for you. 2.
I accept your
proposal to monitor The Stelle Group from outside of the State of Illinois,
as you made it in the all-night meeting of September 28-29, 1974, and further
agree to furnish to you the documents you requested on a monthly basis (i.e.
meeting minutes, financial reports, etc.). 3.
I further
request that you submit your resignation as Trustee of the Voting Trust with
the stipulation that said Trusteeship be assigned to The Stelle Group Board
of Trustees at large. Respectfully submitted, James E. Howery The
following signatures signify intoto President agreement
with the statements in this letter: The Stelle Group Gail
