Church – Why Bother? Another
questioner asked if going to church could help one gain
advancement. Richard answered that only on a subjective level is
church attendance helpful. Churches are interested in bettering man’s
relationship with man, hut just belonging to a church cannot grant anyone
anything. Many people merely send their contributions to their church and show
up on Easter and Christmas—and considering the church teaches that one need
only believe to be saved, there would seem to be little point in doing more. (01-1970) |
