Does Egoic Advancement
Only Come Through Quiet Times? Many experiences which lead us to Egoic growth
are far from quiet; still it is not only the experience itself, but what we
do with it and our attitudes toward it that help us to grow. The statement
concerning quiet may refer to the time one spends contemplating what he has
experienced. If time can be spent evaluating one’s reactions to experiences,
a meaningful lesson may be derived from an otherwise undifferentiated array
of emotions and responses. Many of us become so involved in ceaseless
activity at the behest of bosses, parents, teachers and spouses that we
forget to seek quiet and focus on the things which
are truly important in our lives. (02-1972) |
