Can We
Learn on Our Own or Do We Need a Teacher? Q: I was going to ask if—you mentioned gravity and some other
laws—do you believe that early civilization came to their realization of God
through those laws? RK: They have always had that information handed down to them. About
one-thousand years after the first great—well, the first civilization eventually
became the greatest civilization because it lasted for such a long period of
time. The individual Ego who is an Archangel, who we know as Christ, who used
Jesus’ body for about three and one-half years here two-thousand years ago,
first came there [Lemuria] with a name which has been given in the Bible as
Melchizedek. He formed a body at that particular time. He just precipitated
it. It looked like a human being except the hair color was different than
anybody else’s. Any other human that had been around thus far did not have
that hair color and the skin was a little different color. He acted as a
teacher for that one-thousand years and brought the word where we came from,
what God is about, what the purpose of mankind is, how we are expected to get
from whatever state we are to a higher state, and how to avoid getting
ourselves into karmic difficulty and things of that sort. Q: So, you cannot come upon this [knowledge] without being
taught? RK: I have thought about that problem for a long time. I have come
to the conclusion that nobody could have imagined this system from the
evidence that is available. I guess we have to depend upon the traditions and
the legends and, in some cases, what has finally been reduced to myths, as
the source of the clues as to what really is going on. Ultimately, you will never
know how creation began. You were not around when it occurred, you are one of
the latter-day type of creation and so you have to take other people’s word
for it. That is the same kind of thing, too, you do not know if you existed
before in another incarnation until you get to the point when you can read
the Akashic Record at which point there is no question any longer. You are
not there, perhaps. If that is the case, you really feel like, “Is this real
or isn’t it?” But, everything in Christianity is traditional. None of us can
remember having been there, although there is probably a couple of people
here who encountered Christ at that time. Most people who encountered Christ
at that time did not know who He was and when He made his claim did not
believe Him anyway. A lot of folks hung Him on a cross mainly because they
were afraid that He might be what He claimed to be. (03-1983) |
