How Do People Learn About the Universe?

RK:    Self-validation is the main thing that we are trying to teach here. You are not supposed to follow a ruler. Not ever supposed to follow a ruler, not now or for the rest of time. Everybody has a natural knowledge of what is moral. Every nation has found out that there are basic moral tenets which are in evidence by what works for people. Historically, what works? What seems to be for the greatest good for the most people most of the time? That becomes the moral law. It becomes a law only because it is an observation which proves itself out generation after generation. There have always been individuals who have experimented with trying to go against those rules. There has always been a certain small percentage who somehow or other managed to go against the rules with impunity. I mean, they do not suffer in a way that they are expected to suffer. Moral rules are given to people as guides as to what is the best way for the most people. What are the ways which are most harmless? Which are the ways which least interfere in the lives of people? Which are the ways which impinge least painfully on the most people? That is what most of us are seeking to do. We all seem to recognize after we get through our teens that every time you do something which is harmful to somebody somehow it comes right back to you. You sass somebody you always seem to end up with a scab on the end of your nose. And that is right. Who should you be to be hurting somebody’s feelings by something that you say to them?

Q:      So, you are saying that we already know inside of us what is right what is true?

RK:    Yes. It seems to emerge sometime around sixteen and two-thirds years. Some people think that is narrowing it down pretty tightly, but something very special happens in the growth of the brain around sixteen and two-thirds. I do not know that I am prepared to say microbiologically what happens to the neurons at that particular time, but that is when it occurs. That is when a person suddenly becomes their own person making their own decisions. Before that time, and especially in infancy, we have to give people moral guidance. Little ones need moral guidance. If we do not give it to them, they grow up without any. It is just “me grab.” That is their own morality and that is all they will ever have unless we teach them that there are other ways and consideration of others which are real “drags” if you remember when you were a kid. You finally get his ice-cream cone and you have to share it with your brother. So, there has to be a basis on which this emergence can build rather than expecting it to start out automatically by itself.

There have been many experiments. I remember one where a very rich maharajah had the idea that there was a natural morality and a natural language. He gathered up a couple score of youngsters as infants and had them being nursed without anybody ever speaking to them. They were not taught anything and they just were kept with all of their basic needs fulfilled. Not only did none of them ever talk, but they were animals. Of course, rich potentates were a law unto themselves so, by the time they got into their mid-twenties, he had them all killed because, obviously, the experiment was a failure. I think that is what you would find with anybody. We have the potential for being human, but it takes a long time for humanness to emerge. To lose all the things that we have gained over such a long period of time is a tremendous waste of the human effort of having gone into building civilization. A lot of us feel that the purpose of a civilization is to raise as many people as possible to higher levels of intelligence and morality.

Egoic advancement is the name of the game. That is how we graduate. When we finally get to the point that we do not have to incarnate any longer because we have learned every principle there is to be gained from incarnation in the physical plane, then we are free of that. Then we can truly be our greatest humanness because we do not have to drag a brain and a body along any longer. That does not mean go out and kill yourself right away because then you stop learning.

Everything has been provided by the plan outlined by the Creator to have those who are responsible for building stars to do it just right so the energies we need are provided and the materials on the physical plane are provided. And those on the Angelic are supposed to have the job of creating a planet and evolving life forms step-by-step until we get a human vehicle that can be linked up with an Ego so that Ego can learn. All the things that we need are provided by Those who created our physical brain. Everything that our brain needs to learn by interaction with the Earth and people in it have been provided. All the tools that we need, in the way of materials that we need, are provided. We are not mocked in any way. It is up to us to figure out how to do it. In so doing, we learn the basic principles of life. Also, how the whole system works.

We have to do the same thing later on after all the human beings that are going to make it to Mastership have done so on this planet. Then we move on as a body to Angelic experience. Then it is our job to form a planet and evolve life and provide those individuals with all the tools to advance to Mastership as well, on the next round.

So, it is each one teach one. We all work together. Cooperation is the name of the game. No one can do it by themselves. Nobody yet has ever reared themselves from infancy. It is not possible. We all are dependent on other people, so it must be a resonance who work together to create the same thing.

This community is in resonance with other communities with which we are networking. Other people have the same kind of ideas. Each one has a different approach. Each one appeals to a different personality type. Each one has specific assignments. By specializing sometimes you get more efficient. (03-1983)
