IN PURSUIT OF THE ULTIMATE FRONTIER |
|
|
About
two years ago it was recommended to Richard Kieninger, by
his Teacher, John, that we cultivate increased public awareness through the
media. Richard tells us that the ‘Information Window’
which allows free public access to non-fundamentalist philosophies,
will close sometime around 1986. Therefore, time is of the essence in
‘getting the word out’ about The
Ultimate Frontier. We have, therefore, prepared
the necessary materials. It was summer 1981 when some Members of
The Adelphi Organization researched local possibilities for our doing a radio
program. Then an opportunity presented itself that spurred our production
plans. A Dallas-area classical music station, WRR 101.1 FM, had a half-hour
available at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The price of air-time
would increase within the next few months; so we could avoid the price
increase if we started to broadcast in October 1981. The Adelphi Organization voted to fund the production and
broadcasting of 26 half-hour programs. Adelphi Media Services was formed by those Members wishing to contribute to the
birth of our new radio program, which we chose to name In Pursuit of the
Ultimate Frontier. The production demanded long hours of topic organization,
preparing outlines, studio time, copy transcribing, and tape editing. It
would not have been possible without the enthusiastic and expert support of
Charley Jones, a friend of Adelphi, and a professional radio personality and
announcer. Our program, In Pursuit of the Ultimate Frontier, was
conceived and designed to pique the interest of thoughtful radio listeners. |

recording studio. It was
decided to present the shows in an interview format with Charley interviewing
Richard Kieninger and/or other Members of The Adelphi Organization. Most of
the interviews are with Richard Kieninger, and the different subjects utilize
intriguing anecdotes from his fascinating general knowledge supporting the
range of information presented in The
Ultimate Frontier. The program also affords a more personalized view of
Richard. Conversation flows easily between Richard and Charley as they
present the Lemurian philosophy peppered with anecdotes and examples in a
rather relaxed atmosphere. The two men share an obvious mutual respect that is broadened by their wit and humor. Members of The
Adelphi Organization appear in some of the segments where they relate
examples of their personal application of the Brotherhoods’
philosophy from their experience in the community of Adelphi. |

There was much to learn for all of us.
It is astonishing how many hours of work are necessary to yield 30 minutes of
concise air time. That first six months we produced each
program segment with just a week, and, sometimes, days to spare! There was
some scripting of concentrated information, but most of the recording was done from outlines that had been researched on the
subjects chosen. During that first year Valentine’s Day, conveniently fell
on a Sunday, and that morning was the first broadcast of Program #18, “Some
Thoughts On Loving.” Easter Sunday, 1982 was also suitably
observed by the last in the series: “Christ Among Us.” In
Pursuit of the Ultimate Frontier was broadcast
for one year on WRR 101.1 FM and for six months on KETR. For one year The Adelphi Organization purchased air time on WRR
101.1 FM to broadcast In Pursuit of the Ultimate Frontier. The next six
months it was supplied, free of charge, to KETR, a Public Radio station in
Commerce, TX (50 miles east of In
Pursuit of the Ultimate Frontier has had little promotion and no exposure
outside of Now
we need to make the existence of our series known to many radio stations.
You may be able to help. People who recognize the opportunities available in
a New Age city are now moving into Stelle. The Stelle Schools are growing and
the Industrial base is expanding! An important part of this growth has been,
and will continue to be, the expansion of the public relations and
advertising programs. We can use your help. |
Oftentimes, good public relations and
media coverage depend on who you know. Whether it is
a friend who writes for the local paper, a relative who is a receptionist at
a magazine, or a friend of a friend who works for a television or radio
station, they all count. Often it is that friendly contact
that makes the big difference in whether a program is even considered
for audition. What
we would like is help compiling a contact list; a network of people across
the country who put us one step closer to a feature
story, an interview, getting In Pursuit of the Ultimate Frontier on
the air, etc. These ‘contacts’ are a great place to start. We will contact
these people ourselves if appropriate. If not, we can send you our materials
and you can approach your contacts. Either way, we hope to have a friendly
ear listening to our story. As has been mentioned before, the key to
Stelle and Adelphi’s continued growth is increased
public awareness of our existence. If you are able to offer help in any way,
we would be most grateful to hear from you! Please address your mail to
