OPEN HOUSE The community
of Stelle held its third annual open house on Sunday afternoon, July 16,
1978. Approximately 500 people from the surrounding communities attended this
year’s open house which featured an arts-and-crafts
exhibition. Artisans
from Stelle displayed their work, which included stained glass, ceramics,
toys, weaving, and sculpture. These wares were available for sale to those in
attendance. Guests of
the community were given tours of the school, the
factories and one of the homes. Light refreshments were
also served. This
year’s attendance was the largest ever as a result
of extensive coverage which the event received from local media. The Stelle
Group plans to continue holding open houses because of the good will it generates
between Stelle and its neighbors. |
