Closed Community Not Contrary To Christ’s Teachings

There was a question asked whether making Stelle a closed city would be disregarding the teachings of Christ to be with people and among people. Richard said that Christ was the Exemplar of God’s acceptance of all persons as God’s children. The Stelle Group is in a situation where people who want to sustain an environment for themselves which they cannot sustain elsewhere have the right to create that environment on their own. Making Stelle a closed community simply means that we can keep out of our environment that which we wish to exclude, and this does not mean that we wish to avoid human interaction. The city will be large, and the residents will be free to come and go and have their families and friends visit. (08-1969)

Why Restrict Help to Stelle Members?

Question:   Is it true that you have no intention of helping mankind other than the people who become members of The Stelle Group?

Answer:     It is impossible for us to reach everybody in the world, because we do not have the energy, time, nor resources at our disposal to do so. But the Brotherhoods are working everywhere, and those who are ready to help further mankind’s cause are being contacted in subtle ways of which they may not he aware. When an individual is ready, the Brothers work unobtrusively to help him move into an area where he may begin to contribute his efforts. Nobody is left out, because the individuals who are capable of serving the Great Plan are relatively rare, and the instant an individual makes the commitment to move forward, the Brothers begin to work with him.
