What Is the “Word” That Was in the Beginning? Question: “In
the beginning, there was the Word.” What does the “Word” refer to? Answer: The
Word refers to the Archangel Christ. He is the Word and although he is not as
high a being as the Father God, the Bible mentions that He is above Jehovah.
Jehovah is the Angelic Creator of our world; and the Word, or Melchizedek, or
Christ — however people call him — is actually above Him in rank. So in the
beginning, as far as our world is concerned and even Jehovah was concerned,
there was the Word. Some people say “Logos”. He is the symbolic
representation of that power which was responsible for creating matter and
energy. This matter and energy were created by Archangelic Mind from the
