Was Slave Labor Used? It was the labor of love throughout. Volunteers gave several months of labor each year and those who were too old to work directly on a project donated food for the workers or money for special materials. They obviously felt that what they were building was something great in furtherance of God’s Plan. The incredible precision and their infinite care had to stem from their enthusiasm. Just try to imagine the training and the coordination for several hundred thousand workers. That is an astonishing feat in itself.
