How Does Prophecy Work?

Question:     Can you say something about the mechanism through which prophecy is possible, and does prophecy contradict the idea of free will?

Answer:       The Great Pyramid at Gizeh is prophecy written in stone, using a mathematical language. This prophecy was made about 6,000 years ago and deals with a progression of events in human affairs starting about 3,000 years ago. The advanced being who foresaw the future which is recorded in the pyramid really perceived it as a “history” of the end results of many persons’ free will. Major events affecting mankind being predictable does not in any way contradict that it is man, through his own choices, successes and failures, who is bringing about these events. The Holy Spirit does not control nor arbitrarily change the course of humankind. God’s Universe is benign, allowing the outworkings of all our potentials.

The Brothers do conspire, however, to provide us with goals and the information we need to help us make the best possible decisions. Hundreds of Brothers incarnated at the time of the American Revolution. Few of Them were leaders or historical figures with whom we would be familiar, but They were instrumental in bringing about the kind of liberal attitude toward religion which allows the Philosophy of the Brotherhoods to be accepted or at least tolerated in the United States today. Conditions are probably optimum at present for passing on the message of THE ULTIMATE FRONTIER, and developing the budding Nation of God. (01-1971)
