Building of Philadelphia

A question was asked whether there is any special significance to the name “Philadelphia,” which will be the city built next after Stelle and the first city founded in the Nation of God. Richard reminded us that the meaning of the name is “city of brotherly love.” Its planned site is a mountainous island in the Pacific, and

the city will eventually be atop a mesa when the ocean drains away from the rising Lemurian continent. Philadelphia will in time be known as an educational city, one of the three types of cities which will be built in the new Nation. Other cities will be known as industrial or administrative cities, each with its own particular function. Since extensive sowing of grass on the risen land will have to be undertaken to sweeten the soil before the new continent can be occupied by settlers, activity for at least the first century will expand around Philadelphia until the habitable area is enlarged further from the city.
