The Pentecostal
Movement
The so-called Holy Rollers,
Pentecostals, that movement got started in Haiti
and moved to the southern United
States not quite a century ago. Eventually
they became formalized as a sect of Christianity. Essentially, what you are dealing
with is nether entities or simply earthbounds. The phenomenon is real. You
can contact somebody in the spirit world that way and they can cause you to
babble in different—it is usually a language which sounds like one of the
romance languages would be like; maybe something akin to Spanish or French
except they are—excepting about one case out of a thousand, are totally
unintelligible. They do not relate to any know language. In some cases, which
are quite rare, there is something which can be understood. Sometime even an
ancient form of a language. Many people, seeing persons around them in the
church or such revival-type meetings seeing people start to babble or thrash
around on the floor or foam-at-the-mouth and things of that sort, which they
do, ought of a sense of—it is a hysteric response; they start doing the same
thing even though they are not involved with a spirit functioning through
them. (07-1982)
