Mystery Schools The discussion began with questions
from three people, all asking Richard’s opinion of different popular schools
of metaphysics. Richard said he prefers not to make known his evaluations of
other groups. Each individual who seeks a path for advancement must make up
his own mind about whether a particular school of thought is worth his
pursuing. The group which most appeals to an individual and evokes his faith
is the one through which he can advance the most during his current stage of
development. Richard said he could undoubtedly find ways to praise or detract
from any of the so-called ‘mystery schools” around which groups have formed,
but this would be only his opinion, and not a final word upon which an
interested person should base a decision. He went onto say that The Stelle
Group appeals to a very specific type of personality. Some mystically
inclined persons are offended by our practical
orientation. For individuals reacting to the crassness of commercialism, pure
spirituality may bring about a needed balance, whereby they are able
eventually to see the value of both spirituality and practicality. The Stelle
Group would hold little appeal for this type of person because of his special
needs. (05-1970) |
