Why Don’t Some Egos Make It to Mastership?

Question:     Doesn’t it seem unfair that with everyone starting out equal, some make it to Mastership and others do not?

Answer:       Although all Egos start out identical, an aristocracy of excellence comes about to differentiate them. There are subtle things which keep moving different people in opposing directions. For instance, if you are born the first child of a family, or the middle child, or the eighth child, you will respond to life situations differently. So, you can begin with a difference in circumstances right there. You start learning certain kinds of positive or negative responses, which become habitual after awhile. If you always choose to incarnate as the first born in a family, you will have the same kind of reinforcing experiences over and over. Chances are, however, you have chosen to be born into all kinds of circumstances.

It seems hard to understand why one person is making it to Mastership and another is not. But there is no unfairness. There are many ups and downs in our thousands of incarnations, so we all have the chance to compensate just about anything. If you learn the karmic rules and what the penalties are for doing things wrong and what the actions are that are right, then you tend to move more rapidly in the direction of Mastership. Some may think it is terribly unfair that an Ego got himself into a situation one time that almost predisposes him to becoming a Black Mentalist. Well, Egos become Black Mentalists over dozens of incarnations. It is the result of a whole set of attitudes and ambitions developed over many incarnations. It is interesting to note that attitudes and beliefs you have at age twenty-five can be completely turned around by age forty. Once you learn that you can make yourself into just about any kind of person that you truly desire to be, then you will be able to say, “wherever I aim, that is what I will become.” And that is fair.
