Lemurian Defense In
ancient Lemuria, people who were unduly troublesome to society were exiled.
Instead of imprisoning malefactors, an attempt was made to educate them to a
more responsible way of behaving. Induction into the Lemurian Defense Corps
was a useful method of dealing with youthful recalcitrants, and many young
men learned the discipline of responsibility in this way. Lemuria always
maintained an army for defense, though it rarely needed to act as such;
however, they served as a construction team and as disaster relief workers.
The parades and pageantry provided by the troops were enjoyed by nearly all
Lemurians, even those of considerable advancement. (01-1970) |
