Purpose of Karma Richard
was then asked to discuss the purpose of karma. He said that the purpose of
karma is twofold: It is the agency of God’s justice and is a teaching device.
No one takes a hand in administering God’s justice, for it is completely
automatic. A history of all that has been thought, as well as karmic
accountancy, is maintained on the second plane of existence as the Akashic
Record. Egos of advancement sufficient to perceive it can review the Akashic
Record the way one listens to a phonograph record. Karma also educates us. It
demonstrates the relationship between what we do and the things which happen
to us. Whenever we put forth detrimental things into the Universe, the
negative influence must come back to us in equal measure. By suffering the
repercussions of the evils we generate, we eventually learn to do only good
so that only good will return to us. (06-1970) |
