The Great
White Brotherhood Giving a definition of the Great White
Brotherhood, Richard said that it consists of thirteen individuals, twelve of
whom are the current heads of the twelve Brotherhoods. The Thirteenth member
is always the Archangel Melchizedek, who presides at councils of the group.
Each of the Brotherhoods is responsible for a specific work. Councils of the
Great White Brotherhood are held to discuss and plan how certain programs for
the advancement of mankind will be brought about and to assign and coordinate
the work of the Brotherhoods. An example of Their work is the program for the
establishment of the A
definition of the Order of Melchizedek was also requested. Richard said that
every Ego who becomes a Master serves as head of His Brotherhood at least
once for the experience to be gained. After a Master has held that position,
he is thereafter a member of the Order of Melchizedek since He served on the
Great White Brotherhood with Melchizedek. (09-1969) The Brotherhoods are agents
on Earth to carry out Christ’s plans and the decisions which are made by
Christ and His council of the twelve Masters, each of Whom is head of the
