Accountability of the Federal Reserve The Federal Reserve has never been audited. There were a number of people, who were in Congress, who tried for years to get an audit, but they are not subject to anything. The law does not require them to pay income tax so any money that they get they keep. This has been going on for eighty years ago approximately. But it has been estimated by economists that about eighty percent of the assets of the United States have been extracted and sent to Europe, over the last eighty years.
