What Is the Timetable to An Economic Depression?

Question:     Do you have any kind of timetable for the depression?

Answer:       A business man can keep his business going, but it will take about every kind of skill that he possesses to work around shortages and inflation. The country will not have enough time to ride out the rising shortages due to foreign competition for our raw materials and food and our overpopulation problems. This will create an irreversible trend of runaway inflation.

One day, Americans will just not accept the dollar any more because they cannot be sure what it will be worth the next week. Since Americans have no real silver or gold, we are dependent upon the world’s faith in our government which backs the paper credit. Actually, the Federal Reserve System which operates outside the jurisdiction of any real government regulation is a group of international bankers who manipulate our economy at will. As such, our nation’s economy is operated for the benefit of nations other than our own. Unfortunately, it would profit a great many foreigners were our economy to breakdown so completely that our government could no longer function or even hire armed forces. The U. S. paper dollar would be accepted no more readily than confederate notes. (02-1974)
