What Is a Diamond Marriage? RK: When two persons, a man and woman, each of
whom has achieved Initiation, which is the First Degree, get together to work
on the Second Degree between the two of them. The first thing they have to
have in order to have that happen is the so-called Diamond Marriage. Where
that term comes from is the symbol of the Initiate is an equilateral
triangle. An equilateral triangle represents the perfect balance between the
mentality, ideality, and practicality of the individual; that they are in
balance. So, that is why the equilateral triangle is
the symbol for that. If you take two equilateral triangles and join them, on
any one side, normally it is on the mentality side where they are joined,
then you see that the two equilateral triangles now have the outline of a
diamond shape, not necessarily the diamond or the gem. That is the beginning
of Their work on the Second Degree; each of them working on the Second
Degree. This
is the only time when you have to be married to a soul-mate
and usually the only time you ever do marry a soul-mate. There are thirteen
members of a soul-mate group: six males, six females, and one who is able to
be either male or female depending upon what they decide before they
incarnate. Any one of those persons in your soul-mate group could qualify as
being a person who you can go into the Diamond Marriage with. So, there are
seven persons who can make it: six males—unless you happen to be an
alternator—there are six males and one the alternator which makes seven that
you can have a Diamond Marriage with. Hopefully, one
of those is going to be at the level of Initiation at the time when you are
when you are ready to start into a marriage relationship which will lead to
Second Degree. You
only have to do that once. If you have already done that in a prior
incarnation—let’s say, for instance, you are Third
Degree, but you do not know that you are any of those Degrees at this point
mainly because you have not made it to Initiation again. The first time you
do make it to Initiation they still are not going to tell you that you were
Second or Third [Degree]. You have to work through those things, but you do
not have to be married to a soul-mate the second
time that you go through working on Second Degree because you have already
done that? You only have to do that one time. Q: Okay. I am still confused about the soul-mate idea. If
you are going through Initiation and you have done it before, and you go to
another Degree and you do not need to ?? because you have already done that, where ?? RK: You do not need to be married to a soul-mate again. It is only once that you have to be and
that is the first time you go through Second Degree. Q: And when you go to Third Degree, what
happens? RK: Then, hopefully,
you are working on Forth Degree. You never have to be involved again. It is a
very, very rare circumstance for a person—according to the Philosophy that the Brotherhoods have. Of course, in popular terminology,
anybody who really seems to fit with you is your “soul mate,” at least for the
first four or five years—something like that. Q: What do the folks in a Diamond Marriage
work on when they are working together for the Second Degree? RK: Each of them work on separate things, but
one thing they work on in common is in the area of Diamond Marriage
which occupies, for each of them, two triangles of the four triangle
equilateral triangle, which is the symbol of the Second Degree. Wish I had a blackboard here. Q: In the marriage, what would each of them
be working on? RK: I think if would be uniquely different for
each couple. One thing they have to learn something about is what the other
person is like: pretty much in-depth what a person
of the opposite polarity looks like is definitely incorporated that into
their four small triangle, large triangle. I can draw this much better than I
can say it. (04-1982) |
